Student Mailboxes for your classroom

I am a lover of anything 'free' or inexpensive!  But, then again, who isn't?  I also love Pinterest!!!  So many good ideas there!  Anyway, as I was perusing yesterday on Pinterest, I saw the best idea that could be used as student mailboxes in the classroom.  It  comes from Daisy4100 on Scrapbook.com (so no one thinks I am trying to steal and get credit for her idea).  From the pic, and that is all there is (no directions), it looks to be very easy and inexpensive....just a drive to your nearest post office!  After cutting the lid/end off one side, it looks like she has secured 4 boxes with duct tape.  Then you can cover them however you wish!  Easy and inexpensive, which makes this Pinterest idea even better!!!

  2. The cost of producing those boxes comes out of the priority postage that is purchased when the package is mailed. If the package is not mailed, it's like stealing from the Post Office. Just something to remember the next time the Post Office requests a raise in postal rates.

    1. Had you read the whole post, you would have seen that I did not make these. I found it on Pinterest, and thought it was a good idea. If the Post Office raises rates, it is not because teachers (or anyoen else) take the boxes. It's from people now using electronic ways to communicate, instead of snail mail. Glad you got it off your chest, but don't chastise on my blog, please. If you don't like what's posted, don't read.

  3. Xlnt idea and Xlnt reply by blogger. This idea can be adapted using boxes that were already mailed, other boxes this shape/size, etc.. These boxes would normally head into the local dump, this is a fantastic way to reuse, recycle, repurpose :)

    1. Fabulous idea! I suppose I was 'in the moment' after I saw the idea on Pinterest, and never thought about what other boxes could be used. Wish I would have thought first, then I others would not have taken offense to what I posted. Oh well....live and learn! Thanks for your reply!!
